Here's
a good game plan for ranking and marketing
Youtube videos. It uses some solid SEO resources
and can act as a base for SEO campaigns, social
marketing, as well as Youtube video SEO.
This report is for those that want to "do", not those in a learning or curiosity mode. I assume a certain level of expertise for this and don't give instructions on how to use every resource. If you need more info for a particular resource, please try Google and Youtube. For example, if you don't know how to find an RSS feed for Blogger, google it. Getting Started - Setting the Foundation Set Up - Only needs to be done once. Day 1 Keyword research/niche brainstorming: When researching a topic, consider:
Create User Names for various social networks and Web 2.0 sites. Use "prefixes and suffixes" and apply the principles to User names for accounts: Prefixes Suggestions (add before your keyword phrase): all, best, e, easy, ez, fast, get, good, goto, i, me, my, pro, saveon, simple, super, the, top, total, ultra, we, you Suffixes Suggestions (add after your keyword phrase): 2, 247, 411, 4u, adviser, city, coach, deals, discounts, domination, dude, expert, gal, girl, guru, guy, insider, loophole, pro, revealed, reviews, secrets, specials, tips, too, u, wizard You will be creating a number of user names for various resources. You'll want to use a variety of different, but keyword related user names. At first, try for your most general keyword(s), then add on as needed: DogTraining DogTrainingGuy DogTrainingGuy2 DogTrainingGuyToo DogTrainingGuy4U DogTrainingGuy247 ...etc. Create Spread Sheet You will be creating a number of accounts on various sites and you'll need to keep this info organized. Knowem -Use this site to check lots and lots of social media and web 2.0 sites to see if usenames are available: http://knowem.com/ Day 2 Set up proxies/browsers I suggest you get at least two DEDICATED private proxies. Dedicated means that they don't change, at least in theory. Many spammers burn through proxies, so proxy sellers may think giving you new proxies is a good thing. However, we won't be spamming and only want to use proxies to set up a few additional accounts at various sites, as well to protect ourselves in case a site wants to ban us for some unforeseen reason. A couple of dedicated private proxies will cost you between $5 and $12 a month. To find dedicated private proxies, do a google or a bing for: dedicated private proxies Another better but a little more expensive option is to get a Virtual Private Network (VPN) which gives you even more security: Dedicated IP VPN Next, decide on a browser system. Do you have a browser you use all the time? Use it "normally", without any proxies. Use this set up for your money YT accounts, Adwords, Adsense, etc. For your proxy accounts, use a different browser. For example, you may want to use IE as your "regular" browser, then Firefox with one proxy and Opera with another. Or, I use Firefox as my second browser and use two plugins:
To learn how to use a proxy with your particular browser, you can do a google or search Youtube for "how to use a proxy with ______ " Get two additional phone numbers for Google/YT PVA accounts. PVA means "phone verified account". You will need two extra phone numbers, one for each proxy profile, so that in case you need to verify your Youtube/Google account by phone, you will have them. You can try an online phone forwarding service. I haven't tried these myself, but there's a few cheap ones and many have free trials. But having not tried them, I don't know if they will work with Google PVA or not. What I do is ask a friend to help and use their number. Set up email addresses for each proxy/IP profile Create PVA YT and Google+ accounts using a different email address, phone number and proxy/IP for both. Note: I believe you can now create up to 50 different Youtube channels using a single PVA YT account. But I believe it's best to have a couple of different "unassociated" accounts for your own protection and to promote other accounts and channels. Day 3 Collect/create text content You'll need quite a bit of content to post on various resource sites. You can use PLR, rewrite PLR, use articles from sites like ezinearticles.com, hire writers at iWriter.com, write your own, or a combination. If you are going to try for SEO traffic and benefits and not just rely on Youtube and other resources for traffic, then you'll want your content to be more original and unique. Do NOT use spun or similar content on resources linking to the same places. Don't use content from article directories such as Ezine articles for spinning content. Instead, use these types of articles to create email autoresponder series and add them together to create reports for "email bait" where people give up their email address in exchange for a free report. You don't need to worry about duplicate content issues with these articles when used in email campaigns like you do with search engines. And do the right thing and use the author's contact info and refer to them as "guest expert writiers". Day 4 Create landing page(s) You should consider a few different landing pages. You may want:
Day 5 Create Accounts at the following:
Day 6 Create Accounts at the following:
Day 7 (optional) If you have accounts at any of the following, or you can create one, these sites give pretty good link juice. Link to your YT channel page, a YT money video or your own web page containing an embedded YT video:
Set up IFTTT accounts https://ifttt.com/ If you want, set up some secondary resources with IFTTT so that any video you upload to YT will automatically syndicated to other sites. You can either set up the accounts yourself, or get someone at Fiverr to do it for you: Fiverr / Search results for 'ifttt' YT also has a ton of "how to" videos about IFTTT. Here's some of the sites that IFTTT works with:
http://Blogger.com On Going: Make videos! Put your original and best videos that you may want to use YT's "monetization" on your YT channels that don't use proxies. For your "proxied" channels and videos, create end cards, outros, intros, Creative Commons "mashups", playlists and use them to promote your "money" videos and channels, as well as your landing pages. Try to have at least one good video per "proxied" channel that you can widely promote. Make Creative Commons videos for very popular topics. Submit these to sites like Reddit to get views to videos on your channel. Learn basic marketing strategies for each site, particularly:
Essential Promo -Every time you create a video, playlist or Creative Commons video: Add it to your own site/blog. Link back to the video on Youtube using a contextual link. Add it to Blogger. Link back to the video on Youtube using a contextual link. Add it to a Facebook fan page and/or public group you created. Add it to a Twitter account, using popular hashtags. Add it to Tumblr. Add it to Pinterest Add it to Instagram Get URLs of the above and ping them using: www.bulkping.com www.ping-o-matic.com ...or other ping service. Submit URL The first time you add a video or link to a Youtube video on any listed resource, you can try to use the Google "Submit site" feature. You must be logged into your Google account to do this. Add your URL – Submit your website for inclusion in Google's index Optional/As Needed: Check your video rank. If you aren't ranking high, use some of the other resources you set up above. Mix it up, you don't need to use every resource every time, and you shouldn't. Try to use different patterns for each video, adding a resource as needed to try to increase rank. Remember, it's often easier to create another video and do the basics to try to get it to rank than it is to fight your way to the top. Your goal is to create lots of videos of decent quality and not think that you're going to get rich from a single video. If appropriate, strip the sound track from your video and submit it to: Create general linking strategies Generally speaking, you will be linking from the sites above to either to your Youtube channel and videos, or you will link to your own pages hosted on your own site, which have your Youtube videos embedded on them.
You will also want to think about "internal linking" on Youtube and using videos to push link juice and traffic on Youtube to your "money" videos. Consider: SB Wire press releases - $49 a month to submit one press release per day. Or, you can hire someone at Fiverr to submit a press release to SB Wire for you. Be sure you have a quality, newsworthy press release and video. SB Wire will accept YT videos and is a good way to get into Google news sites. Fiverr / Search results for 'SB Wire press releases' Add a Guest Post using Fiverr. Instead of paying for bookmarks and low value links at Fiverr, or spending hours and hours trying to make a "guest post" on a blog, hire someone at Fiverr to add your post to their blog. Look for blogs that are somewhat relevant and have a decent homepage PageRank of PR2 or higher. Contact the person and ask if you can include a YT video. Ideally, you'll want the guest post to contain your embedded video and a contextual link or two to your money site. Fiverr / Search results for 'picture enhancing' Bookmarks - If you have access to bookmarking software or memberships, try to lightly sprinkle a few bookmark links to your various asset pages. No need to over-do it, about a dozen or so will work, you just want more than zero. Also, mix up the bookmark sites for each resource so they don't have the same link patterns. Keep Building Your
Network
PBNs You can build "PBNs" which are Private Blog Networks, although you don't need to use a blog to create them. Basically, a Private Blog Network is a collection of different sites built by buying expired or current domain names that still have some link juice. You then use them to push link juice to your "money" sites. You need to use different registration info and host them on different hosting services. There's more to it that this, but I'm just giving you a quick over-view. PBNs can be very powerful if done right. Online Site Builders There are also a number of free online "site builders". Slowly but surely, keep adding them to your network.
